Class Reflection: Sarah Gingerich

In reflection of this class, thinking about college as a journey helps me to understand it as more than just a series of classes or assignments. Like a pilgrimage, college involves preparation, challenges, and moments of reflection. For sophomores, we have signing day coming up, which feels like a trail marker for me. Experiences in college, whether in class or extracurricular, push us to reconsider assumptions, explore new ideas, and reshape goals as well. Especially at CNU, because we are a liberal arts school, we get to experience a lot of different disciplines, and that might open doors for us to explore a new journey.

I have really enjoyed this class, as philosophy is not something that I get to explore a whole lot, and I enjoyed hearing the narratives about different pilgrimages and experiences in nature. Although sometimes the concepts were hard for me to grasp, I think I have gained a lot from this class, and understand some concepts of philosophy a lot more than I would have had I not taken this class. Thanks for a great class!
